I seem to remember seeing this but don't know where. If it was on one of the 'caleta we love you' type pages then admin may have deleted it as they don't like anything negative about Caleta.

TrickyFox I am not sure if you are referring to the Snowflake post deletion on this thread or the Caleta We Love You FB deletion?
Admin / Moderators on here haven't deleted the Snowflake post, we had a debate about the use of the term "Snowflakes" and on this occasion left it as it was, then following further posts I believe FatherTed removed it himself.

We are of a mind that we should keep people informed of issues on the Island as mentioned by Sam in an earlier post.

John, I didn't mean this forum - I thought the post was referring to the original report being deleted.

So the answer to Emmi’s question is NO, there is no epidemic.
With no evidence presented and no further posts on Facebook, clearly there is not an epidemic.
But as others have said, it is wise to be careful, everywhere.

I deleted the post re-Snowflake as It wasn't intended to cause offence to anyone. I also don't want this nice forum to degenerate to the levels of the other forum that most of us have or are still subscribers to. My apologies to anybody I may have upset.

We perhaps should have been more concerned over the use of the word "Epidemic" firstly it should only be used in relation to an outbreak of disease { According to Th OED } and 3 hardly constitutes an epidemic? e.g. if back in the day my three children had colds at the same time, would that be an epidemic? no, it would have been considered normal Big Grin Big Grin Big Grin Big Grin Big Grin

Oh for goodness sake, lighten up you lot, my use of "epidemic" was slightly tongue in cheek. But just heard of yet another "snatch" this time in Corralejo - phone snatched from a young boy of eleven years old.

That's just wrong on so many levels. Angry

Level like: what is an eleven year boy doing with a phone?
