Morning Ron, not heard anything about IBI which are I think general rates, we have just paid our Non Resident Tax which we paid in May last year so are you confusing the 2 taxes or is it me that is confused?

IBI usually has a long period of when you can go in & pay it in person. I pay it by direct debit and it is usually deducted from my bank account between May to July, They may be leaving it as late as possible hoping that some people are back to work & can actually pay it. I imagine a lot of the Spanish are struggling financially at the moment, so the authorities are helping people to concentrate on essentials.

Non resident tax you have till the end of the year to pay it.

This was published at the start of the crisis by the Ayuntamiento de Antigua:

From my website:

For property owners in the Antigua Municipality:
The Ayuntamiento of Antigua have delayed the deadline for the payment of IBI - house tax for this year.
It was due before the end of June but this has now been moved to the end of September.

Thanks to everyone. So, delayed till September. I thought there would be some alteration due to COVID, just wasn’t sure what. We pay it by DD anyway but just wanted to check 😁😁

So based on that info as DD's were taken early May last year and due date was end of June can I take it DD's will be taken early August as this year due date has moved to end of September?

A good question, but I don't suppose anyone knows yet - not even the Ayuntamiento.  If I find anything out, I'll let you know.
