Invasion of butterflies!

After last Thursday's rainfall, the island has witnessed the arrival of hundreds of thousands (perhaps millions) of orange butterflies.  Blown from tropical Africa by the winds which brought the rain, these fragile creatures are amazing insects.

Just wanted to add: This video was shot in Puerto del Rosario, next to the bus station. Has anyone seen them in Corralejo, please?

Yes, painted ladies. With the odd Red Admiral amonst them.
