Urban fares for taxis in La Oliva disappear.
The Official Gazette of the Canary Islands has published today the Order of July 27, 2022, by which the urban rates of auto-taxis are annulled for their application in the municipality of La Oliva at the request of the city council.
Pilar González, mayor of La Oliva, has shown her satisfaction with a file that "has been the result of the union and work of both the Department of Transport and taxi professionals, who realized that this improvement in rates would result in a greater degree of satisfaction of citizens. "
For his part, the Councilor for Transport, Antonio Pereira, has declared that "initiatives of this type are those that help improve transport in Fuerteventura, and is pleased with the total collaboration between taxi drivers and the city council so that the great beneficiaries are the neighbors and users of this transport, which must become a benchmark of quality tourism and that must be the central axis of the actions of this government."
As stated in the order published in the Official Gazette of the Canary Islands today these new rates come into force.
