Non Lucrative Visa
#1
Morning all from frosty England. I am hoping someone can help with my query.

I am retiring this summer and having owned a property for a few years now looking at options one of which is applying for the non lucrative visa. Whilst this in itself leaves a few questions to answer my immediate concern is my wife’s visa position.

I am aware that a digital nomad certificate exists which she would likely qualify for. She would want to continue working part time for a couple of years at least and seems to qualify in that she can work remotely for her UK employer.

What I can’t find online however is how the two different visa‘s work together. Has anyone experience of a similar situation, it can’t be unusual for a spouse or partner to want to continue to work. Ordinarily she would qualify under the non lucrative visa but I can’t see if she could then work or needs to apply for the digital nomad visa and the pros and cons of one versus the other.

My second question, any recommendations for a local professional that can be engaged to provide all the advice and help needed if we go this route?

Thank you for reading my rather long question.

I may be able to answer your second question. I remember in the past somebody recommended Fuerteventura Law, in particular a lady called Louise. I would also try with Carolina Romano; she doesn't do only insurances. Somebody else also recommended Beatriz Alvarez Martinez. Me personally, in the past I dealt only with Carolina Romano and I can fully recommend her. She now has two offices, one in Caleta de Fuste (the old one) and one in Corralejo. Hope it helps.
