Occidental jandia mar
#1
Hi all,

I'm staying at the Occidental jandia mar Hotel later this year and noticed the balconies don't appear that private.

I wanted to be nude on my balcony but don't know if this will now be possible if can be seen by neighbours etc.

Has anyone stayed here and could let me know if being nude on the balcony will upset other people as I understand this is more a Germany hotel than English who have a better relationship with nudity than the British.

I can't give you an answer to the question you asked, but the hotel is only a short walk from the beach, where nudity is commonplace.

Tom.

Try it and see whether there are any complaints. What's the worst that can happen?

Thanks all.

Yes I think you are right. Will just get on with it and if someone complains I will cover up.

You would think being so close to nudist beaches they will expect people to be nude on their balcony etc.

Sorry to disagree with you, but I think you will find that with the beach so close, they expect you to go there.

Why toast on a hotel balcony when you have a clothes optional (North of the lighthouse)beach at your disposal? Rent a car and there are even better options than the Moro Jable sprawl

I can't see a problem with being naked on the balcony, even in textile hotels. Most people won't complain, as it shows they've been watching!

Yes, having a car makes it possible to go to Mal Nombre, El Salmo and Sotavento beaches (in my opinion, the finest on the island), plus the option of driving north to the Corralejo beaches.

I was on the island last month, and had 9 days car hire of a VW Polo for less than 150 euros from PlusCar. Great service, no queues at the airport, no silly insurance scams, no silly petrol scams.

I will have a car to travel round the beaches. It was more to hide from the midday sun as I'm not someone that can stay in the sun for hours and hours, so I thought I could sit on the balcony for a bit with a beer and book while staying naked.

The reason I was asking if anyone had stayed there is the photo I found which should be attached shows little privacy between balconies.

A friend booked so I didn't get to check any photos beforehand.

It can be windy. It can be cool. Sure the beaches are nicer normally but not always.
