Not a lot Tamara that is what amazes me we have a convection oven, and barbeque and one of those ovens that use hot air to cook I cannot remember what it is called, management uses it occasionally to cook an oven bake and even more rarely to roast a joint, but it still appears to get dirty very quickly, having said that my idea of dirty and management are way different Rolleyes Rolleyes Rolleyes

We have the same management issue John.

I was instructed by Mrs GF to get cracking on our Neff self-cleaning oven yesterday - the self-cleaning bit is open to debate.

We had a couple of bottles of Oven Pride in the cupboard under the sink (son has nicked the gloves provided for servicing his motor bike and daughter has purloined the seal-able bag for horse feed!) so just left with the bottles of gunk.

Anyhoo - I used a 2 inch paint brush to liberally coat the enamelled panels inside of the oven and the chromed bars with the cleaning goo and re-applied a few more times over the course of yesterday.

Wipe off with plenty of kitchen towel, taking care not to spill it obviously and while using rubber gloves and eye protection and Bob is your uncle - spotless.

Going back some years, my Dad used to use Polycell paint stripper on Mum's oven and it never did us kids any harm.
