· The celebration of the 2nd edition of the Ruta de las Tapas de Fuerteventura is an event sponsored by the local councils of the island, the Cabildo de Fuerteventura, through its Ministry of Commerce, and by the General Directorate of Tourism Management and Promotion of the Canary Islands
The municipality of Puerto del Rosario participates in this 2nd edition of the Ruta de la Tapa de Fuerteventura with its "Feria de la Tapa" contest, which will take place, in the portuense case, between March 21st and 30th 2019 (Calendar), counting on the participation of 53 establishments only in Puerto del Rosario, not only from the capital but also from other cores, both rural and coastal.
The tapa fair allows neighbours and visitors to taste the creations of the chefs and chefs of many other restaurants, highlighting the local product generated by the primary sector in Puerto del Rosario.
Gastronomy is a very important segment in the Canarian economy as a promotional element and as a platform that should reinforce and consolidate the activity of livestock professionals, farmers and fishermen, and should continue to support initiatives that promote and support the primary sector of Fuerteventura.
From the Department of Commerce of the City of Puerto del Rosario congratulates all participating establishments, encouraging all citizens to second this initiative tasting the proposed tapas.

The citizens of PDR may be more discerning, but judging from the finalists for the Antigua area, the punters stuck to the usual restaurants.
