Flight from Manchester to Fuerteventura turns around due to dangerous alert.
The TUI flight that left this morning from Manchester around 08.40 and that was destined for Fuerteventura has had to turn around in mid-flight when reporting an alert 7700.
According to Aviationmatters: "7700 is a warning code that is reserved for emergency situations and immediately alerts Air Traffic Control (ATC) and other units that the aircraft that is warning 7700 is in danger. It can be assigned by Air Traffic Control or pilots can decide to enter it themselves into their transponder."
