I think you'll find they were Condor flights from Germany. They have about 6 or 7 on Saturday's. The planes are a similar colourway.

Repatriation to the UK is via a third party airline. Probably Titan or similar. The Official Receiver usually does not allow the planes to leave the UK on fear of them being held ransom outside of his control.

Wasn't there a 747 in FUE today? More likely the CAA paid for flight.

Ask Pauly on the other forum. He is the expert.

Almost all the TC planes were leased, they only owned a handful.

Both the Birmingham and Manchester scheduled TC flights today were using Titan Airways aircraft. They show on the departures board as having TC codes, but the aircraft were definitely Titan operated. Maybe they have taken over the leases on some previous TC aircraft. Ask Paully.

We flew on a Titan Airways aircraft from FUE to LGW last year, when EasyJet used them to fill the gap whilst they awaited more additions to their fleet.

Hi All - first post here, so hope it lands in the right place!  TC's demise is sad - they originated the package trip way back when, so it's the loss of an iconic travel co.  It's also reduced flight options.  Monarch went the same way as TC, and Norwegian seems to've stopped flights here.  Looks like we're down to just 4 airlines for direct UK flights, whereas it was 6 or 7 not long ago.

Immediate knock-on effect of the TC crash (financial, not aeronautical!) is that other airlines'  fares next month have rocketed.  Just when I'm heading back home (to Antigua - it's getting cold here).  Sweet Angry  I just hope those fares are not tendentious.

Cheers,

Chris
