Update on the sand situation at Mal Nombre and El Salmo
#1
Hi everyone. Anyone able to give an update on the sand situation at Mal Nombre and El Salmo? We haven't been since late 2016 and are aware that the sands often move around exposing large rocky areas from time to time. Wondering if the recent storms altered anything along this lovely stretch of coast? Cheers

The sand there can disappear rapidly, especially with winter storms.  Several years ago, my wife & I had some wonderful days on Mal Nombre beach, including wading out to a sandbank, which was great fun.  But the following summer, we drove there on our first day and just found a load of black rocks.
