With AEMET issuing Weather alerts for the weekend it seems that many Events etc are being cancelled:

Radio Sintonia:

Re the Alerts

Insular Emergency Plan

Puerto de Rosario events

Tuineje

Schools - Monday

Sea defences - Antigua

Pajara

Basically, stay at home, batten down the hatches, ride it out! Of course, it could all come to nothing .....  Wink

Radio Sintonia:

"Red level" of alert is decreed in the Canary Islands for the storm 'Hermine'

The first rains have caused small landslides in Tenerife and La Gomera

The approach of a tropical storm, which they have called [i]Hermineto the Canary Islands will leave "widespread, intense and persistent" rainfall, accompanied by a storm, during this weekend and on Monday. At first, it was expected to be a tropical cyclone that has been called Ten, but it has intensified in just a few hours and has evolved into a tropical storm, so it has received the name of Hermine.

The State Meteorological Agency (AEMET) has updated the forecast this Saturday and has raised the alert level to red. The AEMET warns that Hermine has corrected its trajectory and is getting a little closer to the Canary Islands, which increases the probability of rainfall. According to the aforementioned update, the red warning (the highest) will enter into force at 12.00 noon tomorrow Sunday in the east, south and west of Gran Canaria, where an accumulated rainfall of 120 liters per square meter is expected in 12 hours and 180 liters per square meter in the same space of time in the east of La Palma and in El Hierro. In principle, if the alert is not extended, it will be in force until midnight tomorrow (23.59 hours).

Radio Sintonia:

Civil Guard exams
Before the Maximum Alert for heavy rains and winds, the authorities have decreed the suspension and temporary closure of Events and venues. On this occasion, the closure of the headquarters in which it was going to take place this, Sunday, September 25, the theoretical exams of entry into the Civil Guard in the headquarters of Tenerife and Gran Canaria has been propitiated.

A new date, time and place are still pending to be announced.

Oasis Zoo:
The Zoo will remain closed throughout the day of Sunday, September 25 before the alert decreed by the authorities.

Given the emergency situation decreed by the Government of the Canary Islands, Oasis Wildlife has taken preventive measures in order to protect both the species that coexist in the center and visitors. Likewise, the Fuerteventura Agro-Artisan Market, Oasis Market, will be closed this Sunday.
From Oasis Wildlife they remind their visitors that all those who already have their ticket for this Sunday, can use it throughout the following week without having to book again. The contact email for more information is reservas@oasiswildlifefuerteventura.com

Noticias:

Hermine finds unfavorable conditions to develop and will soon be a tropical depression.
In the last entry of the NHC_Atlantic, the American model that monitors hurricanes in the Atlantic is observed as Tropical Storm Hermione is not finding favorable conditions to continue feeding its power and is drifting into a tropical depression.

This does not mean that the forecast of heavy rains varies, but it is true that the supposed impact of the event on the islands will not be accompanied by the strong winds that were feared.

First flight cancellations

The first rains and winds have left in the morning of this Saturday in the Canary Islands small landslides, water bilge and some punctual interruption of electricity. A few minutes ago the incidents have been passed to the Canarian airports by the tropical storm Hermine.

Binter has announced that all flights to or from La Gomera have been cancelled, and there are several cancellations in Tenerife North, such as several flights with La Palma and El Hierro.
