Good morning from Caleta, yesterday apart from there being a little more cloud much as forecast and the wind certainly picked up by 10am

This morning at 7.30am it was 18C but felt much cooler in the strong wind from the N and 50% cloud cover.

Good morning from Caleta, yesterday very much as forecast mainly sunny and very windy day and it has been blowing a hooley again all night.  The wind has created some very rough seas and high Tides, driving up the Dunes road yesterday i can't recall waves that big and tide as high as it was, here in Caleta the rough sea and high tide has damaged the bridge to the island restaurant in front of the Carlota and Sheraton hotels so the restaurant is now closed. The wind created a lot of local dust so visibility was very hazy

This morning at 8am it was 18C but felt much cooler in the still strong wind from the N, it is a very hazy sky and looking east the Calima is starting to come in.

Warning The Skiron Dust forecast is showing a Calima coming in this morning and lasting at least a week with the worst days being Sunday & Monday.

Thank you John.

I am used to it being a little hazy at times with a mild Calima, but looking at the dust forecast i am not sure what to make of the next few days, i am arriving tomorrow.
It seems it might get progressively worse with the Calima lasting a week or so. I try to get a bit of walking in during my stay but it seems the air might be poor for a while from the forecast.
On a scale of 1-10 what is your best guess?

As WG forecasts it will increase slightly tomorrow and then significantly Saturday and Sunday, easing Monday and easing further on Tuesday.

Thank you - i think that may be the one i found and perhaps not the one Jon refers to - i am used to a bit of dust but never really seen a bad one, just wondering how the numbers work out, at what point on the scale on the map might it be best not to plan too much activity. Sounds like maybe take it easy Saturday and Sunday otherwise fine.
