Good morning from Caleta, very much as forecast, we have had some very heavy showers of rain since 10pm

The rains stay mainly in the south of Fuerteventura.

The front that passed through the Canary Islands from west to east in the last 24 hours has left copious rains in La Palma, Tenerife, and even Gran Canaria, but it has not met expectations on the island of Fuerteventura, at least in the northern area.



Although part of the front is still southeast of Fuerteventura, everything seems to indicate that it will not rain again today.

The storm has left 14 liters in many areas of the Jandía peninsula, especially in Cofete and 11.2 in the Central area, between Tuineje, Pájara and part of Antigua.



Hopes are pinned on the remnants of the front that could leave occasional showers on Saturday. From Saturday, light northeasterly winds return with stable temperatures and anticyclonic Weather.

A little later than usual good morning from Caleta, whilst golfing we did have a few short light showers of rain, warm and sunny around 2pm and more showers during the evening and overnight

At 8.15am this morning it was 21C, it was raining, dark ominous clouds to the west where there was a rainbow and hardly a breath of wind.

6pm update - Here on Fuerteventura Golf nowhere near like forecast whilst our shade temperature did get up to 27C about 1pm it has been much cloudier than forecast all day and we have the odd shower this afternoon.

We do have mixed feeling about the Weather here compared to back in the English Lake District Windermere area which first thing was -3c 🥶🥶🥶 and during the day has had a least 100mm of snow 🌨️🌨️🌨️, even the snow plough / gritter had problems 😳😳😳

6.20pm - Just had a message from a friend who lives between Windermere and Kendal and they have had 300mm, a foot, of snow 😂😂😂
