The confirmed dates for Corralejo Carnival were published yesterday - that's a real surprise - 6 months notice - that's never happened before!

It will take place between 5-15 March 2026. The theme is Latin America.

Just a reminder that on the 1st January 2026 it will become mandatory for all vehicles to carry the new V-16 Emergency Light (a beacon that is placed on top of the car and flashes if you have broken down. The new model contains a SIM card and can alert the transport authorities to your location.

They are available in many places but prices have increased as the deadline draws near. Currently around 40 euros.

The theme for the Carnival is The World Of Musicals.

The main Events are:

Fri 6th - Birth of the Sardine at 18.30

Sat 7th - Arrentrankos cart race at 12.00 followed by a Verbena

Fri 13th - 10.00 School's parades and at 19.30 Junior Murgas and Verbena at the Recinto Ferial

Sat 14th - 20.00 Murgas singing groups and Verbena at the Recinto Ferial

Sun 15th - 13.00 Archipencos Raft Race and Day Carnival at the harbour/Playa Chica

Mon 16th - 21.00 Adult Gala and Verbena at the Rec

There were 533,137 passengers through Fuerteventura airport in January 2026. That is a 3% decrease on the same month last year.

The number of flights at the airport were 4358, which is a 2.2% decrease compared to Jan 2025.
