How to Close a Bankia Account ?
Hi, with the recent increase in monthly charges, it's time to say goodbye to my current account with Bankia. I can't see an obvious way on their website to do this and was wondering if I had missed something ? I'm stuck in the UK at the moment, so a visit to the local branch isn't an option. I don't want to just withdraw the balance and forget about it as no doubt Bankia will find a way to rack monthly charges up and hit me with a bill at some future date. The only payments I haven't managed t

Ryanair Refund finally back in our account
Just an update on our cancelled
April
flight. Our refund was credited back to our current account yesterday.
We originally asked for a refund and were told that this would take sometime but do not apply a second time for the same refund. Without asking, we received a link to a voucher which we didn't accept.
Last week we did an online chat and were told we were no longer in the refund queue as they had sent us a voucher. When we explained that we had not requested a voucher they told

BBVA free banking account
BBVA are offering free
Banking
accounts to residents and non-resdents. It is all online. It is very simple to switch over, you need your TIE or passport and a full face picture to upload when you complete the online application form. The last stage of the application is a videocall to the bank, where you are asked to show the TIE or passport and your own face. If they need any documents, it says they send a courier to collect them (but we were not asked for any).
BBVA will manage the switch

UK Private pensions paid direct to Spanish bank account - charges!
Hi
Just wondering, does anyone get a private pension from the UK paid directly into their Spanish bank account and if so, what exchange rate is used (good/bad/indifferent) and do you get charged for this service?
I've enquired with one pension scheme - they use current 'bank exchange rate' and want to charge £20 for each transfer. This would leave me much worse off than receiving the
Money
into UK account and transferring via Wise.
Thanks for any info - please don't give personal details et

Seeking UK bank account
Hi,
We are permanently settled in Fuerteventura and have just sold our former home in the UK. We need to open another bank account in the UK to deposit part of the purchase price. Our current bank will have the maximum under the FSC bank compensation scheme, so don't want to put it in there. Any British residents who can recommend a UK bank that will open a easy access savings account for us ex-pats?
Thanks in anticipation.
Tom.
