The long awaited plan for the new road between the airport and Pozo Negro, which will form part of the dual carriageway between Corralejo and Morro Jable has today been approved by the Canarian Government.

I can't imagine that they'll start it before the Caldereta to the aiport section is finished (which will probably take years). I don't think I'll see the airport to Pozo Negro section finished in my lifetime.

Can anyone recommend long term parking at the airport or nearby secured ? In Alicante  I use an onsite parking that you can pick up and leave as many times as you like over a 12 month period which is ideal.they make sure tyres and battery are ok ect. so good if you have a holiday home .
Just wondered if Fuerte  had anyone offering similar .I think its about 250 euros a year in Alicante .

There were 90,111 passengers (Arrivals and Departures) through Fuerteventura airport in January 2021. That is a 78.5% drop compared to January 2020.

There were 1528 flights during the month, which is a 58% decrease compared to 2020.

Over the Summer they have been installing solar powered street lighting on the dual carriageway between Puerto del Rosario and the airport. I'm told that they are working now. There's a bank of solar panels at Playa Blanca and at the turn off to Corralejo.

Arriving on island shortly with a 8 month old baby and 2.5 year old, do the taxis have car seats for the babies or do you know anyone reliable who has who would be able to help with transfers? 
Will need to have room for 2 adults, 2 babies, suitcases and 2 strollers.
