A Magic Show is taking place in the Auditorium in Antigua on 1st Decaember 2019.

Entrance is by donating a toy or 1kg of food.  It's a charity event, not because the magician can't afford to buy food and has lots of children!

The annual Christmas Badminton tournament is being held at the Antigua Sports Centre on 15/16 December.

A Christmas Fiesta is being held in Costa de Antigua on 24 December from 5-8pm with a visit from Santa Claus, bouncy castles and a DJ.

The parade of the Three Kings leaves the harbour in Caleta de Fuste at 5.30pm on Sunday 5 January and makes it's way to the plaza, where the Kings will meet children and accept their wish list of presents.

The parade in Antigua starts at 6pm.

The Cross Country run in Antigua is being held in Antigua on 11 Jan, starting at 10.40 from the ITV station.

The Carnival Events are on in Antigua from 7 - 15 February 2020. The theme is Music.

Friday 7 February

20.00 - Opening of Carnival
21.00 - Singing groups
22.30 - Verbena (dance) with the groups N Clave and Kandela

Saturday 8 February

22.00 Festival of the 80's with Orquesta Jacomar, Orquesta Los Idolos and Los 600

Sunday 9 February

16.00 - Day Carnival with a street parade and musical performances, workshops and Murga Singing groups

The Ayuntamiento de Antigua announced yesterday that they have cancelled all fiestas and festivals in the Municipality for the remainder of 2020. All Money set aside for them will be transferred to the Social Services budget.

Anyone know the extent of the drought in Antigua?  In my building, it went off yesterday late afternoon, and remains thus this morning.  I don't know if CAAF will be trying to restore it - it is Sunday in FV, after all...
