Fuerteventura has 40 discharges into the sea and only a quarter with authorisation
The Territorial Information System of the Canary Islands and the update of the Census of discharges from land to sea, included in the Fuerteventura report of the Government of the Canary Islands, of June of this year, mark 40 points of discharges on the island.

The most common type of discharge is urban wastewater. In fact, half of the discharges are of this type, and almost a third are brine from desalination plants. The rest, a minority, are refrigeration and swimming pools.
