CAAF - reporting water problems
CAAF (Consorcio de Abastecimiento de Agua a Fuerteventura) have introduced a WhatsApp service for reporting problems. These can be within your boundary or anywhere outside. I use it regularly to report water leaks in Tindaya spotted while I'm out walking. Our mains pipes here are dreadful, either they are on the surface and the goats nibble through knowing they can get at water or the pipes are buried amongst sharp rocks that gradually fracture the pipes. There are several roads where you can se

No water - it's time CAAF fired someone!
We have been without a reliable water supply for over 2 weeks. The deposito is getting very little replenishment and the plants are suffering. Farmers cannot water their crops. Worst areas are around Tarajalejo, Cardon, Tesejerague and other rural communities. Why because, as usual at this time of year, and when it's hot, they divert all the water to the hotels and tourist areas.

Isn't it about time they got rid of the management of CAAF, and started again? Only 50% of water produced by the de

Endesa and water billing - anyone had issues?
Hi folks.

We moved in to our house 6 months ago. Our lawyer set up electricity and water contracts for us, but we are yet to be billed.

Endesa's system seems to have a series of problems! We received no bills, could not access the portal, and then could not see any information. Having emailed them, then had a video call and then used their online chat they finally said that their systems had problems and that we would be offered the chance ot back pay monthly...though they cannot tell us

Water suppliers: CAAF & bills?
Can anyone tell me what the billing situation with CAAF for water supply is? We've been told they will just debit Money without sending any bills. This means we have no idea what consumption is, or when the bills will happen, or what the amount will be? This seems kind of insane to me.

Are there alternatives? Are they still the best to use despite this system? Can you switch to Aguas De Antigua, or is there an online option available where you can see bills? Would appreciate any info or expe

CAAF hotline for leaks
A quick update. I saw on Facebook via Onda Fuerteventura that CAAF were running a WhatsApp number (606 999 525) so that you can contact an operator directly, to attend to incidents. (Some people have said that has been around for a while).

Anyway - It will never solve the main problem of the water supply, but to be fair I reported a leak today on WhatsApp, the advantage with that being I could add a photo and an exact location...and it was fixed within 3 hours!! Impressed!
