We were hoping to get to visit this before Christmas, but the problem is the busses. I looked at the schedule, and apparently the 01, 02, and 15 stop outside it, which is fine for the outbound journey, but coming back... Considering these busses have long journeys from the terminus and the Lidl is at the very end of the route, it seems impossible to predict when they might fetch up at the stop. That's little use when you're parked outside with a lot of bags full of produce!

Fancied an early lunch out for Christmas, so dropped in here yesterday and were very impressed!

It's a little on the pricey side (onion soup was 4.50; salmon 19), but the quality of the food was excellent. The soup was lovely, and the salmon was the best I've had on the island— and indeed perhaps anywhere, served with beautiful crispy roast potatoes and perfectly roasted veg. Is this path for cycling only, or can you walk it? I've always wanted to walk to Salinas from Caleta, but the rough ground put me off...

You see a lot of negative and disparaging reports about this place, so in the interest of fairness, my wife and I decided to see for ourselves. We only went for a 'cheapish' meal so I had the mixed grill at €6.95 and my wife ordered the Canarian style chicken. Now I have to say that I thoroughly enjoyed my meal and the pork chop was the best I've ever tasted - so tender. My wife wasn't so happy with her choice as she didn't like the sauce, which was just a bbq style one. That being said there

OK, strike while the iron is hot they say. Just come back from a meal at this restaurant, one of the newer, if not the newest, restaurants in Caleta on the site of the old Windmill near the main car park and White Centre. . Predominantly Italian cuisine, we ordered meat lasagne and a pizza with a litre (yeah) of house red. I have really gone off red wine of late but enjoyed this tipple (shouldn't have as I was driving).
The food arrived promptly, which suggests it is not made fresh to order. Ha
