Are there any charity shops in/near Caleta that take books?

Hi. well we are coming on sunday, finally found insurance but we land at 8 pm will the above still be open for a few necessities?

Anyone know what was happening with the big parade of cars driving through Caleta this afternoon, honking their horns and waving flags? 

They had a Canary Islands flag, something taped to their windows, and a red banner, but we were too far away to read anything.

Anyone know what it was all about? There were a good number of cars, maybe 30 or 40.

Was at Mercadona the other day and tried to call for a taxi when I had too much stuff to carry back home. No one answered the number, so I googled and got a different number for the same company. Tried that, and it disconnected. Went back into the shop and asked them to call one, and there was one outside the door in —no joke— 90 seconds.

I see there was a house fire in Caleta yesterday.  Is there any more news on this? Where was it and how did it start?

We have some family members who have been so charmed by the town that they're considering buying to come out to the island full time for their retirement. They are wanting a completely detached house (party walls is absolute dealbreaker), with at least four bedrooms and two bathrooms, though 5 beds/3 baths or more would be preferred. Inside space is a priority over outside space— in this case, bigger is better. They want to be in the town or on the golf course rather than up the hill or in Costa

Are the gyms in Caleta open?   If yes which ones and what are the rules (mask etc)?
