The annual windsurfing and kitesurfing event opens at Playa Barca (Sotavento) on 19 July. 

Looks like it's going to be a windy one, judging by conditions lately 

The Windsurfing and Kiteboarding World cup event at the Sotavento Beach is being held from 17 July - 1 August 2020.

The dates are a bit earlier this year.

The Optimist Canary Islands Cup will be held for the first time in the waters of Fuerteventura.

The Nautical Club of Fuerteventura organizes the 'XI Canary Islands Cup of the Canarian Association of Nautical Clubs – International Optimist Class', which will be held for the first time on the island of Fuerteventura. The competition will take place on Saturday, July 1 and Sunday, day 2, in the Bay of Puerto del Rosario, with training and registration from the previous day,

This event has just started at the Sotavento Beach in the south of the island. It's a spectacular event and it's free to go and watch.
