I’m wanting to set up a gravity fed irrigation system for pot plants on a terrace. I need a large water butt, a method of attaching irrigation pipes to said water butt and a battery powered timer. All as cheaply as possible.

I don’t want this system attached to mains electric or water in any way and I’m able to site the butt at a height much greater than the plants so gravity is on my side. It will be in use when I am away from the island so want a nice big butt ....

Did anyone else witness a large explosion? at sea just before 9pm this evening? Approx NW of me in Tindaya. Only lasted a few seconds but a pinprick of light suddenly grew to a large half sphere on the horizon before disappearing again, whole thing lasted about 3 seconds.

Looking on Marine Traffic there are a few ships in roughly the vicinity.

I'm looking to see if anyone knows of a suitable space we could rent on the island for around 10 artists. We would be looking for an open plan space to divide up to areas for artists to work on their own practise (ranging from painters, sculptors to writers) - each needing around 5- 10msq in space. Would anyone know if anything like this on the island? thanks!

Has anyone seen decent sized bags of Epsom Salts for sale here? I found a little tub, 100g, but I'm looking to buy a minimum of 1kg. (For garden purposes  )
I can get a 10kg bag on Amazon but I like to support local business if I can.

Hi 
Just had a new ikea ottoman bed delivered and paid for the old mattress to be taken away as well.
They wouldn’t take the old ottoman base away so the problem now is how to get rid it.
We are in Costa Calma and wondered if the council have a collect service you can contact to arrange to pick it up same as in U.K.
