The oldest tree in Europe is in the Canary Islands.

A study carried out by researchers from different institutions has identified a specimen of Canarian cedar (Juniperus cedrus), located in the Teide National Park, as the oldest tree in the European Union, since with the radiocarbon technique a dating of 1,481 years of age is obtained.
