The Pickled Palm - Caleta de Fuste
Eat here at least once every time we visit. Have known Martin and Linda for years. We were regulars when they were in Montecastillo even back in the days of the market, would call into Martin for a coffee and pancakes while the missus went browsing.

They do a great range of Tapas at lunchtime together with a nice cold glass of rosé.

Have had some lovely evening meal including liver and onions something a lot of people cannot get right often the liver is to dry, but Linda’s is succulent,

Palm tree pruning in Caleta
Hi all, first post so please forgive as we are technically challenged. Our complex in Caleta is in the process of being sold off after years of neglect. All our palm trees need pruning, and one is diseased which needs removing. Our admin company is going to charge us 115e per tree to prune, and 3,000e to get rid of the diseased one. Coconut Palm Trees
On my 4th Coconut Palm, all died.
yet around hotels, there are plenty and all doing great

Is it wind or mealy bugs, killing them ?

My favourite palm, yet so differcult.

Royal Palms, Queens Palms, all dying.
I personally think its Mealy Bugs.
When I am off island, is there people you can pay, to come round and treat weekly, my palms ?
