Anyone know what happens if you have private health insurance and are unfortunate enough to need an ambulance and emergency treatment? Do the ambulances take you to a private hospital? 
I was asked this question earlier by someone whose understanding is that the main hospital doesn't treat private patients.
Any thoughts please....

My husband Bill has EU passport which means we do not need NLV. We know we need private healthcare and are currently looking at Sanitas. Just wondering, does anyone get a private pension from the UK paid directly into their Spanish bank account and if so, what exchange rate is used (good/bad/indifferent) and do you get charged for this service?
I've enquired with one pension scheme - they use current 'bank exchange rate' and want to charge £20 for each transfer. This would leave me much worse off than receiving the Money into UK account and transferring via Wise.

This subject has been covered before but as companies come and go just after up dated info. Can anyone recommend airport transfer. A friend, who hasn't been to Fuerte before, is staying in Corralejo and doesn't fancy the coach transfer included in her package and is looking for shared transfer with maybe two, four or six others. Any info would be appreciated.
