How long is it safe to leave a dog without food or water over here?
Our neighbours dog (Labrador) appears to have been left for several days outside without food or water. She does have some shade but the garden is enclosed and gets very hot as it’s south facing.

Having been here now for just under a year, I noticed a lack of "Delivery" options from local businesses. Even more so many don't have a website and rely on posting to Facebook.

As a local resident, is ordering online from local business for delivery something beneficial for you?

I was over in September and the cost of car hire meant I didn't bother for the first time in years.  Sorry for being lazy but have the prices come down?   Looking to come over in December or January.

My 18 year old pet dog is very weak and frail now.  With a sad heart I think her days with me are very limited now.  When the inevitable happens, can I bury her in the garden?  I live in a rural Fuerte village.  I believe the Majoreros put their dogs in the rubbish bins, but I cannot do that.  Thanks for any advice.

I am still trying to understand the Canary ways, and I must admit—it is harder than I expected. 

One thing: I am buying from Amazon Prime - EU vendors etc. 
I am often asked for the paperwork, and my parcels stay for a month in Gran Canary. 
Sometimes, they ask for custom tax (again, for EU products coming from the EU), and I usually pay a bit more than 25% of their value. 

Is this legal? I understand there is a small VAT here (7%); it makes no sense why I need to pay so much tax.
