EasyJet refund or voucher
|
Just managed to get through to EasyJet Customer Services on the phone to request a refund for our cancelled flights of April 16th/May 6th.
Needed a refund as I understood vouchers were only valid for six months which is of no use in our case.
However the lady in Customer Services informed me that the vouchers are now valid for 12 months so I took that option,
receiving a voucher code, an expiry date of 18.04.21 and a passcode. Let's hope it all works when I come to book flights

Ryanair refund farce gathering momentum
|
Ryanair cancelled my flight and I applied for a refund. I have waited about 4 weeks for the refund and then was only offered a voucher which I do not want. They say "You can request a cash refund however bear in mind we will place your request in the cash refund queue until the COVID-19 emergency has passed. "

WHICH Airline Refund Campaign
|
|
This might be of interest to many on the forum. 'Which' is running a campaign about flight refunds, and says:
" Airline regulator, the Civil Aviation Authority (CAA), has announced it will review the mishandling of refunds. It must come down strongly on any airlines found to be denying or delaying refunds for cancelled flights and holidays. We’re compiling passengers’ refund nightmares and will submit these to the CAA as evidence for the review."

Ryanair refund update in detail
|
Just seen this on Ryanair site but don't know when it was posted :-
Refund Update
[color=#2e2e2e][size=large][font=Roboto] The processing of cash refunds is taking longer than normal as we have experienced over 1,000 times the normal volume of flight cancellations due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Until the end of May, we also had 75% fewer office staff available to process refunds due to social distancing restrictions.

Ryanair Refund finally back in our account
|
Just an update on our cancelled April flight. Our refund was credited back to our current account yesterday.
We originally asked for a refund and were told that this would take sometime but do not apply a second time for the same refund. Without asking, we received a link to a voucher which we didn't accept.
Last week we did an online chat and were told we were no longer in the refund queue as they had sent us a voucher. When we explained that we had not requested a voucher they told

Successful refund from Ryanair
|
Hi hi everybody I just thought it worth posting. I had flights booked with RA to FUE depart Dublin Thursday 8th Oct, return Saturday 17th Oct. RA contacted me on 17th September to say the flight on the 8th October was cancelled and gave me the option to (a) transfer to the flight on Saturday 10th Oct, (b) cancel and take a voucher © cancel and take a refund. As I now have over €900 in vouchers due to previously cancelled flights, I opted for a refund. I was delighted to see on my online cre

Ryanair refund update

I've just had an email from Ryanair saying they have extended my voucher until 28th Feb 2022. How very kind and thoughtful of them. I have requested a cash refund but no doubt will get screwed on their exchange rate mechanism.
