Is this path for cycling only, or can you walk it? I've always wanted to walk to Salinas from Caleta, but the rough ground put me off...

A new restaurant, Las Salinas del Carmen, opens at the Salt Museum at Las Salinas on February 28th.
The restaurant will be open every day (except Wednesdays)from 10.00-16.00.  It will specialise in seafood.  The restaurant is decorated with recycled materials.

I wondered what the helicopter act

Morning walk yesterday took us to Salinas Del Carmen, a nice small rustic fishing village, just south of Caleta, home to the Salt Museum (Museo de la Sal).  The church is a modern build with a very nice carved door.

There are 2 restaurants there, both good in my opinion, one is in the village closed Monday & Tuesday and one is at the museum run by the owners of Volcano, a very good restaurant in Caleta. The one at the Museum is only open at lunchtime, see photo.

Hi all
Can anyone offer any insight into the state of Las Salinas Golf Club and the surrounding area? I understand that the course is still under administration and that the roads and pavements were meant to be adopted by the council but now doubt this will be advancing at a glacial pace.

The Salinas de El Carmen come from the historic Salinas de La Hondurilla dating back to approximately 1800. Declared a monument in 2002, they are the first salt harvest on the island.

More than 200 years of history
These were expanded in successive years reaching in 1910 its current configuration being already owner D. Manuel Velázquez Cabrera, currently occupying 28,320 m2 and as with the old
