Wind Turbines in El Cotillo??
I recently read on the other forum, a comment about the Wind Turbines beyond Lajares and near to the new Autovia. It also mentioned that there were to be two further Turbines "in the tourist areas of El Cotillo".
Anyone heard anything? Location? Dates??
Tom.

Eight New Wind Turbines in the Puerto del Rosario Municipality
The first of 8 new wind turbines is being put up in the Puerto del Rosario Municipality.
There will be a total of 8, in 3 different locations - El Time, La Asomada amd La Matilla.
The turbines will produce enough electricity to supply 42,000 homes - which is about 3 times the amount needed for consumption in Puerto del Rosario.

Wind Turbines - Puerto del Rosario
Driving into Puerto yesterday I saw they had started the construction of a new wind turbine (maybe more than 1) on top of the hill by the Technology Park/old Airport.
2 enormously long lorries with the column sections were parked up and 3 blades unloaded and on the ground ready for installation. It'll certainly catch the wind up there!
It explains what all the cabling work has been about going up the hill, and the purpose of the new building being constructed up there.
