Unemployment in Fuerteventura

2019 the number of registered unemployed on the island increased by 10.75% - mainly due to the collapse of Thomas Cook and a decline in tourist numbers.
The total number of registered unemployed on the island is now 9,490.
The breakdown is: Puerto del Rosario with 3,952 unemployed, followed by La Oliva with 1,820 unemployed, Pájara with 1,489, Tuineje with 1,376 unemployed, Antigua with 820 and Betancuria with 33.
