Cabildo activity between Villaverde and Lajares
For the last two days the Cabildo have been digging/watering/smoothing the dirt road in front of our house.
They are making a very thorough job of it.  Does this mean we might be getting a tarmac(?) surface ?  Would
certainly cure the dust problems from all the boy racers who come past at 60 mph...…!

Carpenter resident in Villaverde
Anyone in the Villaverde/Lajares area have a contact telephone number or address for
a carpenter by the name of Jose Luiz?  He lives in Villaverde and drives an old truck with
"Jose Luiz y Victor (his son) Carpinteria en madera" written on the side.
He built our kitchen a couple of years ago and we would like him to build us some extra units.
Many thanks in advance.
Bertie.

Cueva del Llano, Villaverde
Having driven past the site many times, we finally took the turn-off to visit the caves, about three years ago. Greatly disappointed to find the caves themselves not only closed, but clearly closed-off fir some time. This despite the fact that they were still being advertised as a tourist attraction by the la Oliva Ayuntamiento at that time. I’m surprised to see in the article that they were closed in 1988, because I’m sure there were TA reviews since then? There IS a very good visitor centr
