I understand that another affect of Brexit is that we Brits now have to re-register to vote in the local elections. When we were EU citizens, registration on the Empadron automatically got you on the Electoral register, but sadly, no longer. Its a separate registration system for us non-EU folk!

There are some additional qualifications, 3 years on the Empadron, for example and I'm led to believe that there is quite a short set time period to visit the Town Halls to do the registration.

Voting in European elections
Hi folks,

A question! I can find lots of info on the EU page and Spanish pages about how to register to vote etc (I am an EU citizen) but precious little about the actual format of the vote.

Is it tick one preferred candidate, or select a number in order of preference as in proportional representation, or what? How many votes can you give?

Grateful for advice!

Bill
