Hearing Aid Batteries required
#1
Hi folks,

Bit of a specialist request this time. I'm in need of Batteries for my hearing aids but not the usual run of the mill aids. I use two Bone Anchored Hearing Aids (BAHA's), where the aid clips onto a screw in my skull. Out here, they are assumed to be Cochlear Implants as I dont think BAHA's are in use here yet (they are a pretty new technology). Some Cochlear aids use the same battery.

So, I need 675 Blue Batteries. They are the same size and shape of the LR44, but much more powerful. A LR44 will last me less than 2 days. A 675 will last at least a week.

Found them on Amazon. €28 for 10 packs but add delivery it gets to €52!!  You can see why I want to buy local.

I usually bring plenty but as my planned visit was for 3 months and I've now been here for 6 months, you can understand why im running out!

TIA

Tom.

I   was told that some Opticians sell hearing aid batteries, perhaps if you took in a pack of yours, they would at least be able to guide you to a place to buy if they don't do the ones you want.

Perhaps this link might help you Tom: https://www.pccomponentes.com/energizer-...4-unidades

... plus a link where McAdam explained how the shop works.

Locally, pop to the China shop in El Cotillo, you'll might get lucky. Otherwise Opticians/Pharmacies as Emmi suggested or Electron like shops.

Thanks folks. Problem resolved thanks to Milestone. Order placed with Amazon and should be here in a month, about 3 days before I completely run out.

I have tried numerous opticians and Pharmacies with no success.
I have tried many Chinese Shops and the Asian Gadget Shops, no success.
I've tried Electron and Ideal but no joy.

Almost everyone in the Chinese and Asian Shops tried to sell me LR44, with loads of sales talk of how they were MUCH better than 675 - where do they learn this waffle!!

The best one was the Pharmacy in Corralejo that said I needed to go to the Hearing Shop just a little further down the road. Completely confused, as I absolutely knew there wasn't a Hearing Shop anywhere near, I asked for clarification.

She usefully indicated with her hand that she was saying the Ear Ring Shop.

Lip reading when people are wearing masks is impossible  Poop

Thanks for all the help.
