Binter buys five new Embraers for 389 million euros.

The first two units will arrive in November 2023, another two in December, and the last one, in April 2024.
Binter advances in its fleet renewal plan with the acquisition of five new Embraer E195-E2. These will be added to the half ten that it has already been incorporating since 2019, maintaining its commitment to this model. (Binter will be the first European airline to use Embraer E2)

The new general coordinator of the company, Santiago Guerra, has detailed that the price has been closed at 389 million dollars (371 million euros). The arrival of the first two units is scheduled for November 2023. Two more will be delivered in December and the last in April 2024.

"The experience acquired in these years confirms the excellent valuation that our customers make of this aircraft model, which fits very well with the longer and higher passenger volume of Binter, and the arrival of new jets will allow us to expand the offer of routes and destinations that we have right now", has stressed.

The E195-E2 is the largest and most modern aircraft in the E-Jet E2 family of twin-engine medium-range commercial jets. They have been ordered with the same special configuration of 132 seats, in single class, which allows a distance between them of 79 centimeters.

Binter will buy six new Embraer E460-E195 aircraft for 2 million.

The new aircraft will be added to the five incorporated since 2019 and the other five acquired in December 2022

The airline Binter has made a new order to the aeronautical manufacturer Embraer of six units of the E195-E2 aircraft, which will allow it to reach a fleet of 16 aircraft with this same model in 2025, which is the one used in its domestic routes outside the Canary Islands, European and African radius. The agreement will involve an investment of about 460 million euros for the airline.

The arrival of the first five units is scheduled from August 2024 and will run until the first half of 2025.

These devices will be added to the five incorporated since 2019 and the other five acquired in December 2022 and that will begin to arrive this year.

The airline and the manufacturer have made this announcement within the framework of the International Air and Space Show, which is being held these days in Paris and which brings together the main players in the global industry in the sector.

"It is an aircraft that is very appreciated by our passengers, especially for the comfort and performance on board and for how quiet it is. In addition, it allows us to continue advancing in our firm commitment to reduce CO2 emissions, so it is perfect for the growth of our company, "said the president of Binter, Rodolfo Núñez, while highlighting the change that the use of E195-E2 has meant in the company's operations.

For his part, the vice president of the company, Alfredo Morales, explained that "the agreement reached will mean for Binter an investment of more than 500 million dollars (about 460 million euros)".

Binter was the first European airline to fly with this model, which adapts perfectly to its operations on domestic routes outside the Canary Islands, European and African with a greater radius

The E195-E2 is the largest and most modern aircraft in the E-Jet E2 family of medium-range twin-engine commercial jets, and they have been ordered with the same special configuration of 132 seats, in single class, which allows a comfortable distance between the rows of 79 centimeters.

Binter takes delivery of the first Embraer to fly to Madrid.

The other four state-of-the-art jets with which the airline will carry out 112 weekly flights between the archipelago and the capital of Spain will be received in the near future

The airline Binter has received the first of the five Embraer E195-E2s that will fly on the new routes that, as of February 1, will begin operating on the Canary Islands-Madrid corridor. This first reactor is named after La Gomera.

In November last year, the airline closed the purchase of these aircraft valued at more than 389 million euros. In the near future, the other four reactors will be received to carry out the eight daily jumps that will link the capital with the Canary Islands.

In addition, the other six units acquired in June 2024 will begin to arrive from August 2023, bringing Binter's fleet to 16 reactors.

An efficient and very comfortable aircraft

The E195-E2 is the largest and most modern aircraft in the E-Jet E2 family of twin-engine medium-range commercial jets, and has been ordered with the same special configuration of 132 seats, in a single class, which allows for a comfortable distance between rows of 79 centimeters.

The interior of the E2 is a benchmark in the aeronautical industry thanks to its 2+2 seating configuration, without an intermediate seat, and its overhead compartment can be adapted to hold up to one carry-on bag per passenger, doubling the capacity of conventional regional jets.

E-Jets E2 are single-aisle jets that stand out for their noise reduction and for being clean and efficient, offering significant improvements, not only in terms of fuel consumption, but also in maintenance costs.

Embraer is an international company headquartered in Brazil that operates in the commercial and executive aviation, defense and security sectors. It is a world leader in the manufacture of commercial aircraft with up to 150 seats. Founded in 1969, it has delivered more than 8,000 aircraft, allowing an aircraft manufactured by Embraer to take off from somewhere in the world every 10 seconds, carrying more than 145 million passengers a year.

112 weekly flights between the Canary Islands and Madrid

Binter will operate a total of 16 daily flights between Tenerife North (TFN) and Gran Canaria (LPA) and Madrid (MAD) airports. From Tenerife airport, flight departure times will be at 08:00, 11:00, 15:30 and 20:30 hours, while in the opposite direction flights will be from Adolfo Suárez-Madrid Barajas airport terminal T-2 at 08:00, 12:30, 17:00 and 20:00 hours. On the other hand, departures from Gran Canaria have been scheduled at 08:00, 10:00, 15:30 and 20:30 hours, while in the opposite direction they will leave from T2 at 7:00, 12:30, 17:00 and 20:00 hours.

To guarantee the best customer service, the airline will also open its own Binter Vende office in the Departures area of T2 and self-handling will be carried out at this airport.

The timetables have been defined to meet the needs of the different types of passengers (tourists, work, visits to family and friends, etc.) as well as to maximise connectivity.

High-quality service from Binter

In addition to the wide range of flights and seats that the airline has scheduled, there is also a premium in-flight service for all fares, which allows passengers to travel "in canary mode" comfortably, enjoying distinctive amenities during the flight, such as ample space between rows, the configuration of rows with two seats, a complimentary gourmet aperitif, Entertainment service with the latest news at no cost, as well as cabin carry-on baggage included in all fares.

In addition, the airline maintains one of its most striking and interesting distinguishing features on these routes: it facilitates connections with the rest of the airports in the Canary Islands at no additional cost, thanks to the 210 flights it makes each day on average within the archipelago.
