The Cabildo de Fuerteventura, through the Works and Machinery Area, has carried out the improvement works of the road to Cofete to guarantee conditions of greater road safety for the neighbors and tourists who visit the town and the beaches during the summer season of 2023.



Specifically, the rural roads of this town have been adapted and improved so that visitors have greater safety and comfort when traveling through it.



Also, through these roads will run the mass procession in honor of San Juan, which will take place within the framework of the celebrations of the town's festivities in honor of this patron, from June 16 to 18. In addition, the pilgrimage will be held in honor of Javier Benítez, presided over by the traditional Cofete truck, which serves as the header and transfer vehicle to the saint.



In the face of the celebrations, the access roads to Cofete beach have also been conditioned, so that neighbors and tourists can enjoy the summer and this festivity in optimal conditions.



For his part, the president of the Cabildo, Sergio Lloret, has sent the best wishes for a magnificent development of the Patron Saint Festivities of Cofete 2023, and thanked the work of the Road Service, which has "worked so that these parties take place with the greatest guarantees of safety and comfort".

The maintenance and resealing works of the road that links Morro Jable with Punta de Jandía and Cofete have been completed, significantly improving road safety along the entire route and facilitating the controlled transit of visitors and residents.



The Cabildo of Fuerteventura, throughthe area of Works and Machinery, directed by Blas Acosta, has carried out in a timely manner the work of improving the road from Morro Jable to Punta de Jandand Cofete, in the municipality ofPájara, with the collaboration of the City Council of P aÁjara.


The president of the Cabildo, Lola García, explains that the action is part of the work carried out by the Island Corporation throughout the year for the repair and maintenance of the more than 1,000 kilometers of rural roads on the island.
