La Oliva announces 81 public housing units in Corralejo.
The mayor says the homes will be under construction by 2024
The Mayor of La Oliva affirms in a statement that the project for the construction of 81 public housing in Corralejo has been rescued, "which we have managed to unlock in these three months in coordination with the Canarian Housing Institute. We will approve the project this year, and next year the houses will be under construction."
"We cannot look the other way in the absence of a right such as a place to live," he added, and said that "we are also working with the private sector to enable housing in complexes that are now abandoned," says the northern councilor.
Likewise, Blanco highlighted the joint work with the Councilor for Urbanism, David Hernández, "to look for housing alternatives from the planning of the territory, and in the elaboration of a General Plan that the municipality does not have, and that "being a very complex document, we would like to develop this legislature to present it at least in the draft phase. "
Julio Santana agreed with the mayor on the importance of the General Plan, "a fundamental document for the future, and to give legal security to the municipality. We are not going to stop until we get it, and if not finish it, at least leave it advanced in this legislature ".

Tamara: I'm not sure the picture is correct - it looks like the unfinished/squatted buildings opposite Lidl - but it would be great if this was the place!
