I don’t have too many Apps loaded on the Firestick and really only use BBC iplayer. I have Nord VPN loaded which I’ve heard is a bit juicy.
I think my next step I’ll order an Amazon Ethernet adapter and connect my Firestick to that. I see that as my last option really. If that fails I think it can only be the Community ISP.

I have discovered something that could be causing the buffering issues.
The BBC iplayer app that’s loaded on the Firestick has a size of 14.16MB
When I’m watching anything on iplayer the cache fills up really quickly to take me over the 14.16MB. It then starts buffering.
Can someone on here have a look at how quickly their cache fills up while watching iplayer. My cache seems to fill up after 5 minutes viewing which obviously isn’t right.
TIA
How do you check?
My guess is that points back to your local line
You could always drop the Firestick and:
A. Get Nord VPN and access iPlayer, ITVX etc directly.
B. Subscribe to TVMucho, about the same annual cost as Nord, but you don't need Nord.
If you go to settings on your Firestick, then Managed Applications, then go into BBC iplayer App.
My storage limit for this App is 14.16MB. When I'm watching iplayer then I’ve observed the cache fills up above the 14.16MB in no time and then it’s starts to buffer.
The odd things is I can find absolutely nothing about this problem when I Google it.
Do you have a computer, laptop or tablet?
I’ve got an iPad
Just out of curiosity. Do you know what your storage is for iplayer on the Firestick and how quickly does the cache fill Up when you’re watching anything on iplayer?
My cache goes way over the 14MB of storage on iplayer in no time (5 minutes) and that just can’t be right.
Thanks but I want to watch iplayer on a TV and not an iPad. Hence why I bought the Firestick and Nord VPN.
Does anyone on here use a Firestick to watch iplayer?
