Hi
Ive just come back from our annual 3 week hol in Caleta.
I kept seeing a young seabird flying around the coastal area throughout the stay, around Salinas end and Antigua path - the poor thing was flying around with a big green fishing wire hooked or wrapped around its leg and on it, a stone fishing weight!!!.
How it is managing, I don't know!! and its a youngster. I know a bit about wildlife rescue and it could be possible to catch it potentially but I don't know who to contact in Fuerteventura.
I wondered if anyone knew anyone on the island who could potentially help? Those particular birds can live decades.
It was awful and I keep thinking about it.
Thanks xx
