Businesses Re-opening After Lockdown

Yes, all thanks to those business who have opened.  It must be very tough for them with their overheads and staff to pay when sometimes they sell just a few cups of coffee a day.

In Caleta, the cafe opposite the Dog and Duck pub and next door to the new Post Office is now open in the daytime. I forget the current name, but used to be the Wine Bar. 

Nothing else in that complex seemed to be open when we passed. The Chocolate Shop is supposed to be opening this week, and the door was open when we passed yesterday.

Is the new post office open yet?  Anyone know when the post deliveries will recommence. I am waiting for something urgent from UK and don't even know if it has arrived on the island yet, or where it would be? Caleta or Antigua? Getting rather anxious about it.  Does anyone have an ideas?

Emmi - although I'm still missing a parcel from February our post has continued to arrive throughout lockdown with no more delay than usual. I know you are getting a new office but that shouldn't have stopped deliveries.

They said all deliveries would be going through the Antigua office, which I think means you'd have to collect things, assuming you knew they were there!

Emmi, I will take a peek Monday and Tuesday and see if there are any signs of life. Hopefully normal service will resume soon considering that we are moving well through Phase 2 and towards Phase 3!

I had a look inside the new Post Office yesterday. It's all been kitted out - counters etc. 

There is no indication of when it will open.
