Puerto del Rosario will rebate 95% in capital gains tax.
The Plenary Session of the City Council of Puerto del Rosario has approved in ordinary session, in this month of December, the final approval of the Ordinance Regulating the Tax on the Increase in the Value of Urban Land.
Specifically, a series of modifications and changes have been carried out in this Ordinance Regulating the Value Tax on Urban Land (capital gains), which will introduce tax credits and reductions in certain scenarios, depending on the cadastral value of the land, giving special importance to vulnerable population groups, taking into account the different cadastral sections.
Therefore, the modifications made to the ordinance reflect the intention of the municipal institution to seek to prioritize in an equitable way the distribution of wealth, protecting neighbors who have a situation of fragility, wanting to apply the greatest possible bonus to the transmissions of habitual homes with 80% and 95% to those inheritances of habitual homes in favor of descendants or adopted persons, ascendants or adoptive parents or spouses who are in a vulnerable situation such as: pensioners, unemployed, people with disabilities, victims of gender violence or under 30 years of age.
The mayor of the capital, Juan Jiménez, stressed that "with this measure we come to adapt and take into account the different situations that people have, during these transmission processes, taking them into account is social justice and more in the inflationary era in which we are immersed. This ordinance will be a tax relief for many families in the municipality."
For the Councilor for Economy and Finance, Juan Manuel Verdugo, pointed out that "among the main reasons for the modification of the Ordinance is to give unity in the tax regulations, complying with the principle of economic capacity, approved by Royal Legislative Decree 2/2004, of March 5, in addition to contemplating different scenarios in which a person can be found and that sometimes can make it very difficult to pay the tax ", Adds.
