With the present Car Hire prices/problems, whats the situation post Brexit re allowing a visiting guest using your spanish plated/owned car?

Is it OK with written permission, licence restrictions etc, my guess is any info will be usefull to forum members in the current situation.

Any info appreciated.

Not absolutely sure but I would have thought with your written permission it is ok as long as your insurance covers them

Here, I hope, is a link to the page and form set up by a number of Civil Guard officers. It gives information about letting someone drive your car and the paperwork they should carry.

Just a bit of additional info…. I contacted my insurance company to check this a couple of years ago, as my visiting son was below the minimum age limit for drivers on one car policy. They allowed me to add him for a small extra premium, and also confirmed during a conversation that I could permit anyone to drive my car, provided it was a temporary arrangement and involved no element of a financial transaction. The examples they gave of prohibited activity, were hiring a car out, even for ‘expenses’, to anyone, or the practice of including use of the car in the rental price of a holiday property! They advised giving the driver a written authority, such as the one published by N332 etc.
