We have visited Cofete yesterday and had a lovely day on the beach. What a stunning place.
Drove up to the villa too and took a picture. Didn't attempt to go in to the "museum". Searching on the net I have found a few bits of info about the villa, but a bit confused about who lived there and what visiting the place is like, anyone know?

Try YouTube

Or search Villa Winter on YouTube as there are several videos.
Mostly conjecture and rumours and I don't think we will ever know the truth!

By coincidence we visited Cofete and Villa Winter yesterday with our Christmas and New Year guests.
We made a small donation at Villa Winter and had a look round, not a lot to see, will let the photos tell the story -
In this next image you see a helipad

Considering the location of Cofete the cemetery is well populated

I was lucky enough to be taken to Casa Winter 11 years ago before it became a museum and all spruced up as it is now. A Spanish girl friend took me for a day out there. She does not speak English and my Spanish then was even more limited, so I did not get or understand the full story of the house. It was a total shambles, no furniture laid out or bunting and the front garden patch had banana trees planted ( they seem to have disappeared now). It looked really awful.
