Good luck, Sam! We were very fortunate this time and did not have any big ones. We cut down on entry points by sealing almost everywhere and did both a heavy-solution mopping and a big entry-point spray before we left. Found a couple of small ones around a doorframe that had some cracks between it and the masonry (now filled), but that was all. It really is an ongoing battle, though...!
I will say I think there are fewer about this year than ever before. Hardly see them on the street compared to previous years. I suspect because most of the hotels are shut? I imagine they are hurting for food and dying off and not breeding in such prodigious numbers as usual.

All good products Sam, but Lidl do a spray called Bloc Magic { they do 2/3 varieties the one with a black cap is the best } which is far superior to Zum, fortunately, we never see them indoors these days when we bought the place they were an issue, but a neighbour told us about a plugin called Vermatics, only available from Amazon UK, and they will not post them here, we had family bring a couple over, they work suberbly we have not seen one indoors in 5 years.

I have a Vermatics plugin - it's yet another thing that sends my dog loopy, even with the pet friendly option enabled!

(Along with Alexa, the smoke alarm, the electric tripping/power cuts, fireworks, thunder ......)

These points make me shudder at the thought of staying in a hotel ......... anywhere!
