Love Dysons and find them to be the only domestic vacuum worth using anymore, so I am glad to finally see them here. The push to make everything eco-friendly and cheaper to run means every other domestic model is now hilariously under powered. After watching our Rowenta struggle to lift the dust balls that accumulated in our absence —literally, it wouldn't even lift dust!— we went to the city and purchased a big Karcher industrial (WD 2P) from Ideal. €70, and it would take the skin off the cat!
Granted, it's a little large and it's noisy as hell, but it lifts the dust that plagues us here on the island, can be used both indoors and outdoors, and is a fraction of the price of a Dyson. If you can't stretch to one of those or just don't want to, it's well worth considering.
