The town of El Cotillo, in the municipality of La Oliva, will have a new cultural centre, with spaces for library and theatrical, musical and sports activities, among other uses. The Cabildo de Fuerteventura has put out to tender the construction of the new cultural centre of El Cotillo for a base budget of more than 1,300,000 euros.
The deadline to submit offers will be open from February 16 to March 7. Interested persons can consult all the information about this tender in the contractor profile of the Cabildo website.
The project contemplates the demolition of the current cultural centre and construction of a new building, giving rise to a compact building, around a central courtyard and 1,269 square meters of total built surface.
"With these works we want to take advantage of the space, with a more modern and spacious building", explains the president of the Cabildo, Marcial Morales.
For its part, the Minister of Public Works, Edilia Perez, said that "the work will result in a more orderly, accessible and suitable building to meet the needs of the different groups of the municipality, since the previous property was obsolete in both structure as in accessibility ".
The cultural centre of El Cotillo will be located in the town centre of this town, with easy access, in a plot of municipal ownership bounded by the streets Punta Aguda and San Rafael. The centre will have a space for library and study area, a classroom of crafts, a room for holding Events and a hall for theatrical and musical activities with capacity for 150 people. The facilities will also include a kitchen classroom, a multi-purpose room with tatami for sports activities, a soundproof ballroom with a capacity for 40 people, a playground or game pavilion and a small residence with bunk beds.
