We appear to have a problem with our Electric Oven it is shorting out the trip switches, anyone any recommendations for either of the above?

It's probably the heating element or a burnt off connection touching the chassis.
Can you get spares on the island?
We ended up buying a new oven when the fan on ours became noisy.

There are 2 businesses that I have used, they deal with different manufacturer's goods. I'm really sorry but I can't remember either of the names (and can't read the names on Google Street View) and I can't find phone numbers as I tend to visit when I need to arrange something.

Both in  PdR.

87 Calle Comandante Díaz Trayter - green building, next to a ferreteria. El Charco area of Puerto.

and

the other place is in the Majada Marcial area. Very strange to find. Go up Calle Alcaldes Mayores and take first left into Calle Las Alfarares. Then walk around the back of the block to find the entrance which faces wasteland.

Good luck!

Thanks, everyone for your help, I bit the bullet this morning, and had a look my self there was a joint in the cable and what the guy had taped it with I have no idea, but looking at it I am surprised the place has not burned down, a visit to the Fretaria tomorrow will probably/hopefully solve the issue. again many thanks it was much appreciated.

Just had a thought - if you have OK Luz on your Endesa bill you can have a freebie repair of one 'white goods' per year.
