FEAGA

FEAGA 2019 - visited Friday 14th June, 1.15pm - 5pm when it was very quiet (after the school visits were over).

In no particular order, and unfortunately a big chunk of my pics (mainly animals) have disappeared from my phone:

Thanks Tamara

All the animals look extremely well behaved - even the dragon in pic #7

Is it made out of old motorcycle / quad bike tyres?

Reminds me of hubcap creatures here in the UK  https://www.hubcapcreatures.com/

Out of old tyres and you can (if you're lucky) see the exhibition in shopping centres around the island. Tamara, back in November, spotted "El Dodo" in Las Palmeras CC in Corralejo. We saw a quite a few of them in Los Rotondas and outside a pub in Puerto del Rosario but honestly can't remember the name.

This is the guy who does the tyre sculptures. He said he would be doing an exhibition near Las Rotundas shortly. If anyone is interested the dragon is on sale for 2800€, a bit too rich for my blood although I would love to have it!

Never realised somebody does grow pineapples in the archipelago. Does anyone know if you can buy some Fuerteventura grown pineapples too?

Lots of El Hierro pineapples are sold on FV, various shops incl Mercadona sometimes.
I bought a Fuerteventura grown pineapple at the Tetir fair the previous weekend - best I've ever tasted!
I loved seeing the plants in the pots, unfortunately my other half demolished our pineapple before I could prepare the top for planting, but I'm even more determined to get one growing now.
