Fuerteventura has the most expensive gasoline and diesel in the entire eastern province

• In the first months of the year, the island has registered the most expensive prices, and the liter of gasoline is already quoted, on average, at 1,461 euros in the capital and 1,593 euros in Pájara.
  

Fuerteventura has the dubious honor of having the most expensive fuel prices on the three islands of the eastern province in the first months of the year, at a time when the increase in fuel prices is putting in check companies and professionals linked to transport.

According to data from the Ministry for the Ecological Transition, published by the Ministry of Industry of the Government of the Canary Islands, in Fuerteventura the liter of gasoline 95 was in January, on average and taking as a reference the last week of the month, at 1,267 euros, compared to 1,242 in Lanzarote and 1,171 in Gran Canaria.
In February, Fuerteventura was also the eastern island with the most expensive gasoline: 1,301 euros per liter, while in Lanzarote it was sold at 1,279 and in Gran Canaria at 1,205 euros.
In March, prices have soared, coinciding with Russia's invasion of Ukraine, which has affected the hydrocarbon and energy markets, and has influenced the already runaway inflation.
Thus, this Wednesday, the last day of which there are closed data, the liter of gasoline was quoted in Puerto del Rosario, on average, at 1,461 euros. And in Pájara, the municipality of Majorero where the highest prices are recorded, it reached 1,593 euros per liter of gasoline 95.
Diesel vehicles have suffered something similar: diesel A was bought in January at 1,174 euros per liter in Fuerteventura, a little cheaper in Lanzarote (1,171 euros) and in Gran Canaria (1,096 euros).
In February it climbed, on average, to 1.21 euros per liter in Fuerteventura, more than in Lanzarote (1,202) and much more than in Gran Canaria (1,133 euros). This Wednesday, in Puerto del Rosario, the liter of diesel reached 1,403 euros per liter, but in the municipality of Pájara it was already for 1,544 euros per liter.

The Minister of Finance and Public Function, María Jesús Montero, has assured this Tuesday in Telecinco that the minimum reduction of 20 cents of euro per liter of fuel will be applied from this Friday when refueling and will be additional to the one that the oil companies have already launched.
